Introducing myself 💕
So I felt it was important to do a little "About me" to introduce myself and you can see the face and life behind ShelleyBow and why I have this little business that I LOVE. Little photo of myself too wearing my strawberry sequin headband, which is available to buy in my shop!
Ive always enjoyed sewing, crafting and making my own hair accessories back in 2010 I started ShelleyBow when I lived in Manchester as a hobby along side my full time job. I used to do a lot of craft fayres and I mainly made and sold hair bows, hence the name ShelleyBow. I had my daughter and i stopped all together until I had my son in 2021 and I was made redundant from work and decided I wanted to start again but this time focusing on scunchies.Â
I opened my Etsy shop, ordered a few prints of fabric that I thought people would love something a little different and I got my first order. I was so happy and then I started getting a few a week,Â
Spring 2023 was when my shop boomed when I started making Taylor Swift ERAS scrunchies ready for her huge tour. I was selling hundred a week and I think in total I must of sold about 3,000 maybe more. It helped my little shop get established and I was able to make an income from my Etsy shop.Â
Unfortunately it was shut down not long ago and I had to make my own website, so here I am on here now and hoping that my success from Etsy will follow me on to here. I really enjoy what I do and hope I can carry on doing it for as long as possible!Â
